MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Shelby County Sheriff's deputies have scored their second million-dollar drug seizure in a week's time.
Department spokesman Steve Shular says officers arrested six people, halting a marijuana distribution network and confiscating 1,200 pounds of the drug from two trucks.
Authorities say it was being operated out of two businesses.
Investigators say the department's drug dog Lucy alerted when she smelled the marijuana in hidden compartments, despite boxes packed with hot chili peppers to disguise the scent.
A department deputy found more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana in a van during a traffic stop last week.
