MAYSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A plea deal offered to a woman charged with helping to dispose of the body a dead child has been rejected by a northern Kentucky judge.
Amy Baker had agreed in November to plead guilty to felony charges of tampering with evidence in exchange for no jail time as part of a pretrial diversion program.
Court documents show the deal was approved by prosecutors but rejected by Mason Circuit Court Judge Stockton Wood.
Baker was a key witness in the Ohio murder case against the boy's foster parents, Liz Carroll and David Carroll.
