London, England (WVLT) - Dolly Parton's "Imagination Library" is going global.

Dolly was in London raising awareness for the Imagination Library, which was started to help improve children's literacy.

The Imagination Library started right here in East Tennessee as an effort to encourage children to read more.

Children who sign up for the program get a new book every month until they turn five.

So far it's spread to 45 states, and is funded by the Dollywood Foundation.
