Lake City (WVLT) - Authorities say 38-year-old Drusilla Atherton of New Market has been found safe out of state.
Atherton was last seen on Tuesday, November 27th.
The Lake City Police Department says they responded to the Lamb's Inn Motel on Wednesday morning, the 28th, after hotel workers found a "considerable amount of blood" in a room.
They say the room was registered in Atherton's name and the last contact with her was Tuesday night when the night clerk spoke to her over the phone.
Lake City Police Chief Jim Shetterly told the Knoxville News Sentinel that there was no sign of a struggle but that he is considering the room a crime scene.
At this time, investigators are not releasing where Atherton was found.
WVLT is working to gather new details surrounding this case and will have any developments, right here on volunteertv.com.
