OMAHA, Neb. (CBS) -- Police now say nine people have been killed in the shootings at an Omaha shopping mall, including the gunman.
Witnesses say they heard shots ring out and saw a man dressed in camouflage with a gun. Ambulances rushed to the scene and a number of people have been carried out on stretchers.
The shooting happened around two in the afternoon at the Westroads Mall in Omaha, Nebraska. One victim is described as an elderly man who was found shot in a store called Von Maur.
The mall was placed on lockdown but some shoppers were able to leave.
President George W. Bush was in town Wednesday for a fundraiser in Omaha, but left about an hour before the shooting.
