BUFFALO VALLEY, Tenn. (AP) -- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers say Center Hill Dam will be strengthened before it becomes a danger.
The DeKalb County dam was deemed high risk by the corps last January.
Corps officials said at a series of public meetings that repairs are to begin in the next several weeks.
The corps already has been keeping tabs on the dam for months and some minor grouting work has been finished.
Seepage is being monitored.
