716th Military Police Prepare to Leave Ft. Campbell

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) -- The 716th Military Police Company has cased its colors in preparation for deployment to Iraq.

In a ceremony yesterday at Fort Campbell, the unit furled and sealed its flag.

Two other Fort Campbell MP units are cycling back to the post -- the 551st last month from Iraq and the 561st coming home in February from Afghanistan.

The Army says the 716th's mission in Baghdad will be to oversee seven other MP companies in training Iraqi police officers.
