NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The state Transportation Department has extended the public comment period regarding improvements to US 127 on the northern Cumberland Plateau.
TDOT announced Thursday it will continue to take public comment until January 28th -- a month longer than previously planned.
There were public meetings on the proposed work December 4th in Crossville and Thursday in Grimsley.
The improvements would be made in a 14-mile section of 127 between Crossville and Clarkrange.
Widening the highway to four lanes is one of the options studied.
