Knox County Couple Found Dead in Georgia; Police Believe It's a Murder-Suicide

MONROE, Georgia (WVLT) A Knox County man and woman are dead, in what police in Georgia believe is a murder-suicide.

According to the Walton Tribune, police responded to a traffic accident in Monroe, Georgia, about 45 miles east of Atlanta, early Sunday morning.

Paramedics reported the driver and passenger suffered from gunshot wounds.

According to the newspaper, police believe the driver, Tim Allen Henley, 33, of Powell shot and killed the passenger, Natalie Diane Nichols, 26, of Knoxville, then took his own life.

Police recovered a weapon on the driver's side of the car.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reports Henley and Nichols had attended the SEC championship in Atlanta on Saturday.
