LIVINGSTON, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say a woman has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 2-year-old boy she was babysitting last year.
Patricia Ann Hicks, 51, of Rickman was indicted this week by the Overton County grand jury on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and felony murder in the death of Noah Simpson.
Acting District Attorney Tony Craighead said the child was taken to the hospital with head injuries on July 21, 2006, and died two days later.
The boy and another child had been staying with Hicks for several months after a fire destroyed the Simpson home, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Hicks was being held on $250,000 bond.
