Knoxville Man Charged in Sevier County Burglary

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) A Knoxville man has been charged in connection with a Sevier County burglary.

Larry Richard Courtney, 29, of King Crossing Way in Knoxville is charged with Attempted Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Criminal Trespassing and Vandalism

According to Sevier Co. Sheriff Ron Seals, deputies responded to a home on Pine Street in Seymour for a burglary in progress around 8:30 Friday morning.

When they got there, the suspect was gone, but witnesses described the suspect's vehicle.

Sheriff Seals says when Courtney was found, evidence was found that linked him to the crime.

Courtney is in custody at Sevier County Jail under a $100,000.00 bond.
