Identity of Driver Killed in I-40 Crash on Friday is Released

KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) Knox County Sheriff's deputies have identified the person killed in a rollover accident on I-40 early Friday morning.

Susan Derhone, 27, of Knoxville lost control of her Volkswagon Jetta, swerved and flipped several times, before the vehicle landed in a ditch, just east of Campbell Station Road.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Caragan says witnesses told investigators they noticed Derhone's car traveling at a high rate of speed just before the accident happened.
