Dense Fog Cited as Factor in Crash that Kills Morgan Co. Woman

WARTBURG, Tenn (WVLT) State troopers cite dense morning fog as a factor in a deadly Morgan County crash.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Rodney Redmon says Majorie B. Kittrell, 83, was traveling north on Highway 299 around 6:40 a.m., when she lost control of her vehicle near Powell Road.

Tpr. Redmond says her Ford Taurus ran off the road, crashing into a couple of large rocks and an embankment.

Kittrell's car then overturned.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tpr. Redmond says Kittrell was wearing a seat belt.
