WESTEL, Tenn (WVLT) A Cumberland County man is charged with domestic assault and kidnapping after a Sunday incident.
Cumberland County Chief Investigator Gary Howard says deputies were called to Westel Road in the Westel Community for a report of a man beating a woman on the side of the road, then dragging her into the woods.
Deputies say the suspect and victim could not be found last night, and a search of the area also turned up neither person.
However, deputies say the woman sought medical treatment early Monday morning, and deputies responded to the hospital.
They arrested Timothy Taylor, 38, of Gordon Lowe Road in Westal and charged him with kidnapping and domestic assault. He's being held in the Cumberland County jail in liue of a $76,000 bond.
He's due back in court on January 7th.
