Three students killed in collision with school bus in WV

Cabell County (WSAZ) Three Cabell Midland HS students have been killed in an accident on McComas Road outside Barboursville in Cabell County.

The crash involved a car and a Cabell County school bus.

State Police and sheriff's deputies say 2 of the students in the car were dead at the scene; the third student was taken to a local hospital where they died a short time later. At this point, WV State Police have not released any names.

Jedd Flowers, the spokesperson for Cabell County Schools says all three victims were students at the high school. Flowers says counselors are at the school. He is not releasing any other information at this time.

It appears the car crossed the center line and hit the bus. The car came to a stop off the road in a ditch.

The crash is near the intersection with Grays Branch Road.

The bus was headed to Cabell Midland HS and Barboursville MS.
Several of the students on the bus received very minor bumps and bruises

The accident happened about 6:45 AM.
