MADISONVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) A former Loudon city police officer was sentenced to spend the next 12 years behind bars, after pleading guilty to several charges, including statutory rape, bribery, burglary and theft.
The burglary and theft charges against Steven gutt, 25, stem from a burglary ring that spanned several counties including Monroe county where he was arrested.
While in jail, Gutt was charged with trying to bribe a jail official, then statutory rape for a crime uncovered while investigating the bribery.
