LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A Lexington woman has been sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of reckless homicide.
Sarah Taylor was charged with murder in the death of her ex-boyfriend's 22-month-old daughter, Madison Cundiff, in 2004. Taylor told police that the child had fallen down some stairs, but the medical examiner found the child's death was from shaken baby syndrome.
The jury returned with the reckless homicide verdict yesterday afternoon, after deliberating for about three hours.
