Knoxville (WVLT) – A Knox County teen is safe after two men broke into her duplex this morning.

It happened in the 1900 block of Lovell Road.

According to the sheriff’s department, the 17 year old was home around 9:20 AM when she heard someone knocking on the door of the duplex and ringing its bell.

She did not answer the door and instead went and hid in a closet.

That’s when she says two men kicked open its back door, came in and found her in the closet.

They told her to stay where she was and then left without taking anything.

The girl described one of the men as a black man wearing a white hooded sweat shirt.

She also say they may be driving an older model white Jeep Cherokee.

The investigation is on-going.
