Kingston Police officer involved in Knoxville wreck

Knoxville (WVLT) -- A City of Kingston police officer was involved in a traffic accident Thursday afternoon in Knoxville.

Officials say the officer’s car ran off the road on I-40 east, just west of Walker Springs.

No one was injured.

Crews from the Knoxville Police Department and Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded and had to pull it up a muddy hill.

Traffic began moving smoothly just a short time later.
