Cold weather can't freeze Water Angel Ministries

Knoxville (WVLT) – Some of the coldest temperatures of the year couldn’t put a freeze on a special day for one inner city charity.

The Water Angel Ministries deals with some of Knoxville’s most in need on a daily basis.

On Sunday they held their 5th annual early Christmas party.

"It's one day where I think the church community can make an impact and get to meet these people," said Stephanie Mitchum from Water Angel Ministries.

All those that signed up were given a new pair of shoes.

Nearly 500 people took part in the special day which also included prayer, fellowship and a warm meal.
