WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (AP) -- A Mississippi school bus driver is free on bond after being charged with selling drugs to undercover officers in Arkansas.
Melinda Haas was arrested Monday after allegedly selling morphine and Xanax pills to police in West Memphis. Police were tipped off by a confidential informant and set up the sting.
Haas was charged with two counts of sale or delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
Haas is a bus driver and teaching assistant for DeSoto County schools in Mississippi. Her husband told WMC-TV in Memphis she would not comment.
