Caught on Tape: Man grabs cash from Sevier store, flees

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) Sevier County Sheriff's deputies need your help tracking down a man caught on tape grabbing money from the cash drawer at a convenience store.

Last night around 8:00 p.m., Sheriff Ron Seals says the man entered the Stop and Save store on Chapman Hwy.

When the clerk rang up his purchase and the cash register drawer opened, Sheriff Seals says the man grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and ran.

He's described wearing a grey hooded jacket w/ camouflage hood.

He allegedly fled in a white Dodge Dakota truck extended cab.

The same vehicle and suspect were also involved in an earlier incident in Knox County, according to Seals.
