NEW: Church deacon helps deputies nab burglar

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A church deacon in Millington helped police catch a burglary suspect.

Eddie Harris, a deacon and lifetime member of the church, got a call that an alarm had been tripped at the church.

He arrived at the Friendship United Methodist Church, saw a suspicious car and followed it at high speeds.

A short time later deputies arrested Matthew Revis, 29, at a Millington residence and found two speakers from church inside his car.

Harris says, unfortunately, most people just don't want to get involved. But police said anyone should be cautious about driving at high speed even to catch a criminal.
