(WVLT) -- Six Tennessee football players, including three starters, are academically ineligible for the Vols' Outback Bowl game against Wisconsin, according to a press release from the university.
The following players will not play versus the Badgers:
WR Lucas Taylor
DT Demonte Bolden
LB Rico McCoy
DB Ricardo Kemp
WR Kenny O'Neal
LB Chris Donald
Taylor leads the team in receiving with 1,000 yards and five touchdowns. McCoy is second on the team in tackles (106), and Bolden has started at defensive tackle all season.
In order to be eligible to play in the bowl game, players had to pass six hours within the specified grade requirements of each individual major.
