Knoxville Police investigating North Knoxville home invasion, shooting

Knoxville (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department is investigating a home invasion that ended in one person being shot.

According to investigators, 28-year-old Willy Sims told police just after 5:30 this morning, someone broke into his house at 901 Henrietta Drive in East Knoxville and shot him three times, once in the hip, back, and leg while he was asleep.

Sims listed in stable condition at UT Medical Center.
