CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Eight babies have been born in families of soldiers currently deployed with the Tennessee National Guard.
That's according to Red Cross officials.
The Red Cross notifies military members overseas of the deliveries and expects about 10 more babies for the soldiers in the 1/181st Field Artillery Battalion, based out of the Chattanooga area.
About 500 soldiers from the six units in the battalion have been deployed since June.
