Roane County (WVLT) – A Lawrenceburg man was killed while trying to evade police Saturday evening in Kingston.

It happened around 6:30 PM.

According to the THP, Johnnie C. Ambrose, 37 hit a guardrail traveling fast in the east bound lane of US-70.

His car bounced off the guardrail and skidded into the west bound lane where it was struck in the passenger side by an SUV.

The impact pushed Ambrose’s car off the road and onto an embankment.

He was pronounced dead and the driver of the SUV was treated for injuries.

Investigators believe Ambrose had been drinking.

This is not good at all. I hope no one dies this new year's. But with drunks and crazy drivers on the road there may be some deaths. So please dont be stupid and dont drive drunk. If you do you will die or go to jail.
