CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennesseans who are not registered to vote, but want to take part in the Feb. 5 "Mega Tuesday" presidential primary election have until Monday afternoon to sign up.
No one knows how the creation of what essentially is a national primary day will affect the outcome of the presidential race.
Hamilton County deputy election administrator Charlotte Mullis says it's important that everyone vote because there is no incumbent in the presidential races. Nearly 1,000 delegates will be chosen.
The early voting period for the primary is Jan. 16-31.
