NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The director of Sumner County's Emergency Medical Services department has been arrested on charges of theft and falsifying documents.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm says both charges against Dennis Wallace are misdemeanors.
Wallace was booked into the Sumner County Jail Wednesday morning and later released.
Helm says Wallace has been charged with telling another county employee to use a government credit card to buy building materials for the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce.
He was also charged with failing to document about 400 hours worth of vacation and sick time he's taken since 1999.
