Knoxville (WVLT) -- The News Break updates you on the latest stories we are watching in the Volunteer TV News Room.

On Sunday night, January 6, we are following the stabbing of a Scott County Sheriff’s captain and a late night robbery of a North Knoxville convenience store.

Additionally, Volunteer TV’s Mike McCarthy has the story of a woman who lost all she owns to robbers, but ended up finding salvation from an unusual storage facility.

All that plus Jim Freeman has the latest on your weather as we get ready for the second week of 2008.

Join Gordon Boyd and Lauren Davis for the Volunteer TV News Nightwatch, coming up after Shark at 11:30 PM.
