Seven dead in Utah bus crash

MEXICAN HAT, Utah (AP) -- Seven people have been killed and 20 injured in a Utah bus crash.

The charter bus rolled off an icy road last night about 10 miles north of the town of Mexican Hat, in the Four Corners region where Utah meets Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.

Rescue crews from all four states rushed to the scene.

Rescue efforts were slowed by the region's isolation and the weather. A helicopter from Colorado could not take off because of winter storms. And the Utah Highway Patrol says there's no cell-phone service in the area.

Another bus went to the crash site to transport passengers who weren't badly injured.
