KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) A Karns High School student was taken from the school bus she was riding on to this hospital around 5 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Rural Metro paramedics were called to Bus #224 on Johnson Road near Ballcamp Pike around 4:30 p.m. The bus serves Karns High School.
Knox County Schools spokesperson Russ Oaks says the student was not injured, but was suffering from a medical condition. He says Rural Metro transported the student to Children's Hospital as a precaution. He did not know the nature of the illness.
There were students on the bus, but after the student was transported to the hospital the bus continued it's route and dropped all students off at their bus stops.
