CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) -- A Kentucky man has been indicted in the alleged kidnap and rape of an 11-year-old West Virginia girl last February.
U.S. Attorney Sharon Potter says Joshua Michael Ridings of Owensboro was named in a one-count federal indictment returned yesterday by a grand jury sitting in Clarksburg, W.Va.
The indictment alleges that the 28-year-old Ridings took the girl from West Virginia to Belmont County, Ohio, last February 20th to engage in a sexual act with a person under 12.
Potter says Ridings is currently being held in Indiana on an unrelated charge.
