NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police say an elderly woman died after apparently falling into a pile of burning leaves on her property.
The victim is believed to be 84-year-old Lillian Massey, but because of her extensive injuries, dental records will be needed to positively confirm her identity.
Police were called to Massey's home around 9 p.m. Monday after a neighbor discovered the body.
It appeared Massey had been burning leaves along a fence row much of day Monday.
Police believe she fell down a small embankment into the fire and was unable to recover.
