Blount County (WVLT) – A Blount County woman has been arrested for TennCare and food stamp fraud after it was discovered she was not eligible for either program.
Angela L. Teffeteller, 36 of Maryville is accused of misrepresenting that she was separated from her husband and his income, which would have disqualified her for both programs.
She turned herself in on Friday after an indictment was handed down charging her with six counts of TennCare fraud, one count of theft of services and nine counts of fraudulent receipt of food assistance.
If convicted, Teffeteller could face 18 years in prison.
