KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police officers and the FBI are searching for a bank robber in West Knoxville.
Around 3:22 p.m. police were called to the First Tennessee Bank on Downtown West Boulevard at Kingston Pike.
KPD spokesperson Darrell DeBusk says the suspect handed a teller a note that said he had a gun. He demanded money and left with an undetermined amount.
Witnesses describe the man as a black, in his mid to upper 20’s, medium build, 6’0”, unshaven, and wearing a blue zip-up jacket and jeans.
He was also wearing a dark colored hat with an unknown design.
He may have left the area in a dark blue or black van.
A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (865) 544-0751, or KPD at (865) 215-7212.
