Funeral arrangements for Brad Renfro

Knoxville (WVLT) – Funeral arrangements are now in place for Brad Renfro.

The Knoxville actor was in the fifth grade when he was cast to play the title role in the movie version of John Grisham’s courtroom thriller The Client.

Renfro passed away last Tuesday in Los Angeles at the age of 25.

His family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday at Stevens Mortuary Chapel in North Knoxville.

A funeral service will immediately follow.

On Tuesday morning, a procession will depart Stevens at 11:00 AM and head to the Red House Cemetery in Blaine for graveside service at noon.

brad renfro was one of my daughters friends, when he was still in knoxville.he was not a bad kid, very nice kid. it is a shame what usually happens to child actors when they grow up. do you remember that susan saranden took him under wing to hel him, well where was she when he started getting in trouble? also i will never forget what sha said about our city. "knoxville is a dirty little hick town" i just hate that brad got caught up in all the hollywood lifestyle. i know at one point he was trying to turn his life around. but the kidds that knew him here, he will be sadly missed. another life gone to early.

No matter how his death occurred, his family will mourn the same; the how when losing a child is not the priority for grieving parents. My complete sympathy is with them. No parent should have to bury their child; I know this, I've been there.

Anonymous: Brad Renfro wasn't a "Celeb"; he was a more than decent actor who took on a slew of very interesting roles. If anything he was an anti-celebrity, and many (including myself) loved him all the more for it.
