KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Pilot Corporation founder and CEO Jim Haslam is being treated at a Knoxville hospital for an illness affecting his colon.
Pilot Corporation spokesperson Ellen Robinson confirms Haslam went to Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center Sunday for treatment of colitis. Robinson says Haslam is expected to be at the hospital for a couple of days.
Robinson says Haslam's condition is not life-threatening. Colitis is an acute or chronic inflammation of the membrane lining the colon.
The hospital is not allowing cards, flowers, or visitors for Haslam.
Haslam's son, Bill is Knoxville's mayor.
