Blount County (WVLT) -- The Blount County Sheriff'S Office says 10 underage boys are in custody, two of whom are suspects in a carjacking that occurred in Cobb County, Georgia one year ago.
Blount County Sheriff's deputies responded to Calderwood Highway at around 3:45 a.m. to the call from a resident who reported a suspicious vehicle in the area.
When deputies arrived in the area, they saw several boys walking on Calderwood Highway, and they fled on foot when they saw the deputies.
Two of the juveniles were immediately taken into custody.
A short time later, a Sheriff's Office K-9 tracking team tracked three additional boys in a wooded area.
The other five suspects were taken into custody an hour later on Calderwood Highway.
All ten boys are runaways from Cobb County, Georgia.
During the investigation, deputies discovered that the van the juveniles were driving was reported stolen out of Cobb County, Georgia in February 2007.
All ten boys are currently in custody at the Blount County Juvenile Facility.
Georgia authorities have placed a hold on all of the boys.
