Overnight accident in South Knoxville sends one person to the hospital

Knox County (WVLT) - The Knox County Sheriff's Department says one woman is lucky to be alive after her car slammed into a utility pole in South Knox County.

The accident happened around 4:30 Friday morning on Marine Road, just off Chapman Highway.

Rescue crews from Seymour Volunteer Fire Department had to cut the young woman from her car.

She spent a day in the hospital and was eventually released home to recover.

Investigators did not say what may have caused the crash.

    that was me in the wreck. i am not a man. i wish this article was little more correct. thank u everyone who came and seen me at the hospital. thank god for only minor injuries.
