KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- A Knoxville woman was charged with DUI Saturday night after she slammed into a tractor-trailer and then hit another car.
Police said Ana N. Vinsant, 28, was driving southbound on Alcoa Highway when she ran off the road. She collided with a tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder in front of a Pilot station and then struck another car traveling behind her.
The driver of the car, Canie Marcum of Maryville, told police he wasn't able to avoid hitting Vinsant's car. He suffered minor injuries from the wreck.
Vinsant was taken to UT Medical Center and was charged with DUI.
The southbound lanes of Alcoa Highway were blocked for an hour and a half while crews cleared the road.
