KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Knoxville Fire Department inspectors arrested a homeless man Tuesday night and charged him with setting a fire that injured another homeless man.
The fire happened on January 30th inside an abandoned home on Reynolds Avenue in Knoxville.
Inspectors arrested Robert Stanley, 45, last night outside Thompson-Boling Arena last night and charged him with aggravated arson, and aggravated assault, according to KFD spokesperson Brent Seymour.
"We got a tip he was waiting outside of the Thompson-Boling Arena waiting for the game to end so he could go in and clean," Seymour said.
Seymour says inspectors were able to track down another homeless man who told police Stanley poured a flammable liquid on top of the victim and caught him on fire.
Both the suspect, the victim, and the witness, escaped them flames. Seymour said he had no word on the name of the victim, or his medical condition.
