One person killed in North Knox Co. crash

Knoxville (WVLT) -- A fatal accident in west Knox County claims the life of one person.

Officers with the Knox County Sheriffs Department say the accident happened just after 1:00pm on Raccoon Valley Road at Naff Road, when a wrecker crossed over the center line and into the path of a car driven by 45-year-old Randi Denise Murray.

Authorities say they are investigating why the driver of the wrecker, Denver Berry, of Oak Ridge, crossed the line.

Berry was transported to UT Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.

Murray was wearing a seatbelt.
