UPDATE: Knoxville Police release identity of murder victim and suspect

Knoxville (WVLT) - Knoxville Police have released the name of a man killed in an overnight shooting.

Police say a shooting call came in around 12:30 this morning at the Western Heights Apartment Complex on the 1700 block of Virginia Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found 25-year-old Martes Mathews dead from gunshot wounds.

Police are still looking for the suspect, 23-year-old Tyrone Kato Brown.

    Again, how will gun control laws help? Does anyone really believe that criminals are just going to lay down their gun, for which they have no permits, and stop shooting? They only ones that won't have guns will be people who are law abiding citizens. People like this will have free reign to kill at will. And they will because they don't care about human life.
