SEVIERVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- A police chase that began in Cocke County and continued into Sevier County on Friday led to the arrests of two burglary suspects.
Friday afternoon, Cocke County Sheriff's deputies tried to stop a white Mustang they believed stolen. The Mustang finally crashed on Richardson Cove Road in Sevier County, according to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals.
Scottie Lee Ownby, 30, and Brandi A. Shular, 31, both of Sevierville were arrested.
Investigators traced evidence and stolen property from the Mustang to a home that had been burglarized in Kodak, according to Seals.
Ownby has been charged with auto theft, two counts of aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, vandalism and evading and resisting arrest. He is incarcerated in Sevier Co. Jail and is being held for arraignment.
Shular was charged with aggravated burglary and auto theft and is in Sevier Co. Jail being held for arraignment.
Cocke County deputies also plan to file more charges against both people.
