SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) -- A spokeswoman says former first lady Nancy Reagan is expected to be released today from a hospital where she spent two nights as a precaution after falling down Sunday in her California home.
Spokeswoman Joanne Drake says doctors determined she did not break a hip as first feared.
Reagan has been in the same room at St. John's Health Center where former President Ronald Reagan stayed after he broke his hip at home in 2001. He died in 2004, after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. The two were married for 52 years.
Nancy Reagan's last major public appearance was at the January 30th Republican presidential debate at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California, where she sat with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
