MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities have captured a murder suspect in Memphis who was on the run for more than a decade.
Police say 34-year-old Jacer Medina shot and killed Ricky Lee McDaniel in the Chicago area back in 1994. Investigators on Wednesday arrested Medina, who had appeared several times on America's Most Wanted.
In January 1994, police say McDaniel was trying to be a good samaritan when he chased down a drunk driving Medina and his passenger.
Authorities say four months after that incident Medina shot and killed McDaniel as revenge. Medina is expected to be handed over to federal authorities for extradition back to Illinois.
