RUTHERFORD COUNTY-- Law enforcement agencies issued a statewide Amber Alert and have apprehended a missing 4-year-old girl after a high-speed chase.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says Jerry John Jones took 4-year-old Madison Kerr last Friday from Cumming, Ga. TBI says Jones is her noncustodial father and a registered sex offender who was wanted on four counts of child molestation.
Police say they chased Jones in Smyrna for about 30 minutes Thursday morning before his car collided head-on with another vehicle.
The girl was taken to StoneCrest Medical Center with a small abrasion on her foot. Jones is being held at the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department and may be turned over to the U.S. Marshal's Office.
Police say no one else was hurt in the collision.

Madison Kerr, 4, who has been missing from Cumming, Georgia since February 15th, has been safely located by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department.
Jerry Jones, who was wanted for four counts of child molestation, has been taken into custody.
NASHVILLE (WVLT) – A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a four year girl from Cumming, Georgia.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says Madison Ker was taken on February 15th by her non-custodial father Jerry Jones, who is wanted for four child molestation.
They were spotted on Thursday leaving the Ramada Inn on Hospitality Drive in Franklin, Tennessee, headed east on HWY 96.
Jones is reported to be driving a late model white Ford Taurus with a stolen Tennessee license plate with the number 599 PFJ.
Jones is described as a white male, 52 years old with shaved hair.
He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 150 lbs.
Madison is described as a white girl with brown hair and brown eyes.
She is 37 inches tall and weighs 32 lbs.
