KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- A scare for some customers in Pioneer Market on Chapman Highway in South Knox County Thursday afternoon.
Around 5:00 p.m., Knox County deputies say a teenager walked into the market with a gun and threatened to shoot some people.
A quick-thinking customer was able to get the gun away from the teen, who then went to his car, got a knife, and returned to the store saying he was going to stab himself.
Deputies say he tried to slice his neck in the bathroom, but his injury is not life threatening.
He is being treated for his injuries, and will likely face aggravated assault charges, says spokesperson Martha Dooley.
His name has not been released. Dooley says he's 18 or 18 years old.
