Louisiana fugitive, tired of running, surrenders in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A Louisiana fugitive, saying he was tired of running, has surrendered in Memphis after a year on the run.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Monday that Bobby Jo Weatherton turned himself in Sunday at the U.S. Courthouse.

Authorities quoted him as saying he saw himself on the Fox television show "America's Most Wanted" Saturday night and was weary of being a fugitive.

He fled Feb. 24, 2007, from Ascension Parish in Louisiana where he was wanted on charges of murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape.
